We are thrilled to share a major milestone: our new partnership with Microsoft, a collaboration that is already making a huge splash in water conservation. We are joining forces to bring our Shayp 4IMPACT platform to schools and public buildings across Europe, starting with projects in Brussels and Paris.

A New Chapter in Corporate Water Stewardship

At Shayp, our mission is to make territories more resilient to water shortages by cutting down on wasted water in buildings. This partnership is a huge step toward that goal, allowing us to bring our technology to communities where it is needed most. As Microsoft's Eliza Roberts, water lead, shared, this partnership is a key part of their strategy to become water positive by 2030, which aligns perfectly with our vision of creating a more sustainable future.

The challenge of urban water loss is significant. Leaks often go unnoticed for long periods, leading to immense waste. In fact, our data shows that over 20% of water consumption in schools and universities can be considered wasted. With the support of forward-thinking partners like Microsoft, we can address this problem head-on and make a real difference.

The Power of Precision

Our Shayp 4IMPACT platform is unique because it's built on a foundation of precision monitoring. Unlike solutions that rely on projections, we provide verified, auditable water savings. Our IoT-enabled technology creates a real-time digital twin of a building's water consumption, capturing data every 30 seconds with the ability to detect leaks as small as 4 litres per hour.

This level of detail means we don't just estimate savings but guarantee them. For our corporate partners like Microsoft, this allows them to meet their water stewardship commitments with confidence and provides verifiable outcomes for their ESG reporting.

A Community-Focused Approach

What's truly exciting about this partnership is the community focus. By funding the deployment of our technology in public buildings like schools, Microsoft is directly strengthening community water infrastructure. This isn't just a win for the environment; it's a win for the people who live and learn in these cities. Providing free access to our water monitoring technology and leak prevention services to these buildings empowers their managers to take control of their water usage, proving that sustainable solutions can also benefit the community directly.

As our co-founder, Grégoire de Hemptinne, shared, "Many solutions have tried to address customer-side leak detection but face the hard reality of very inconsistent and complex infrastructure that requires a very flexible approach. Our 4IMPACT platform is the first of its kind water replenishment model that enables our corporate partners to achieve verified volumetric water benefits."

What's Next?

Our 10-year partnership with Microsoft is just the beginning. The initial projects target 125 schools in Brussels and 500 schools and public buildings in Paris, and we are working together to expand our reach and impact. We're proud to be at the forefront of a fundamental shift in corporate water stewardship, moving from estimated benefits to guaranteed, measurable results. We believe that investing in sustainable infrastructure today will benefit communities for decades to come.

We’re excited about what's to come and the positive impact we can make together.
